About Author: Prof B Oza is associated with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University as an Adjunct Professor. He received his BE degree and ME degree in Electrical Engineering from S P University in 1972 and 1982 respectively. He has a total teaching experience of more than 30 years.
Apart from teaching, he has vast industrial experience. He has been invited by reputed institutes, industries to conduct the workshops/lecture series. He has written four books and has authored many national and international conference papers.
About Course: The course aims at teaching the protection of major components of power systems, such as generators, power transformers, transmission lines, busbars, and induction motors.
The details of relays used for said protection are also provided. The method of calculating fault current forgiven power system network is discussed. The learning material also deals with the calculation of relay settings of relays used for different protective schemes. The modules are covering the latest numerical relay technology for the protection of equipment of the power system.
